Redmine should definitely have a better plugins listing!.. Today I came across a very similar plugin from Eric Davis who was the one of the most active contributors of Redmine project and now works on his fork of Redmine called ChiliProject. There is also ezSidebar – another similar plugin from Zou Chaoqun.
